What if Beth March had lived? Sarah Hastings, a young foster child, time-travels to 1862 Concord, Massachusetts, home of the March family from "Little Women." Sarah is taken in by the family and meets their neighbors, the Laurences, and their houseguest, Captain James Harrison. When Beth falls ill with scarlet fever, Sarah saves her life with 21st century medicine. Beth blossoms into an outgoing young woman who pursues her dream of a career in music--and also pursues the handsome Captain Harrison. Whom does he choose--Beth or Sarah?
