Overview
Catharsis is a book of poems written during a time of pain and struggle as an emotional outlet. Carried throughout the book is a theme of looking to and questioning God and Faith. The book is often raw, uncensored emotion. Although dark at times, a sentiment of hope is also present throughout the book. The author states that she published her writings in hopes of reaching and supporting others who are struggling with a painful time in their lives. In addition, the book is strewn with gratitude for those who helped her weather the storm. It carries a message that we should not go through difficulties alone and perhaps a plea to step in and support loved ones in need.
