Tribulation is brought to the Amish family of Levi Zook when a rogue English truck driver commits unthinkable atrocities to his wife, Sara. No one could even dream of this happening to a member of the Amish community. The devastation that one short act brings to this angelic family affects them for decades, leaving not one single member untouched. How could you and I deal with it? Would it have the same affect on your entire family? Perhaps. Can they survive? You will laugh, cry, and become angry, as you follow over 25 years of turmoil caused by that one moment of horror. They cope, yet they struggle, no differently than the rest of us. The Zooks live amongst the face paced world they share with the English who pass their buggies every day. Most of us put this group of people on a pedestal, but the fact is; they are more like the rest of us than we believe. You will learn to appreciate their struggles as well as their fortitude; because they are like the rest of us as much as they are not. How would you cope with being blind, like the youngest member of the Zook family, in today's fast paced world? It is a question that many of us has asked ourselves from time to time; but imagine having to cope without sight as member of the Zook family? Blindness can either be a handicap or an asset. The choice is up to the individual. Why did the youngest member of the Zook family choose to abandon his Amish upbringing and move four hundred miles south? How would he support himself in his new world? All of us deal with turmoil as we travel through life; but how would you deal with it if you were stuck in time, as a member of an Amish family? Do you simply sit back and watch the world go on as if nothing was awry, or do you pull yourself up by the bootstraps and do the best you can, given your circumstances? Follow the Zook Family and discover an unwavering amount of perseverance. You will have a hard time setting this story down, thinking you know what will happen next, but did you?
