Beach Art is a process of drawing patterns and images in the sand between the high and low tide marks, with nothing more than an ordinary gardening rake, to create beautiful works of art. Nicky Gurret is a Bermudian designer who spent many of her childhood summer holidays on the beach, swimming in the ocean and teaching sailing. She has a passion for architecture, flora,fauna,marine life and the natural landscapes of Bermuda. She is an architect, artist, floral artist, gardener and sculpture builder and beach artist. Ms Gurret is the founder of the Bermuda Beach Art Festival and Bermuda Sand Sculpture Competition. This book is her ode to Beach Art and a compilation of her and her friends of Bermuda Beach Art works.
