About the author
Jayne Johnson-Morris was born, raised, and educated in the Germantown section of Philadelphia PA. Served as a teacher for forty years. I am currently a retired public school Social Studies teacher. I am a born-again Christian, received a ministry license in 2000, and was ordained in 2003. Served as an Interim Pastor From 2006 to 2010 at a small church in Philadelphia. I currently worship at the First Baptist Church of Crestmont in Willow Grove, PA, where I sing on the Adult Choir, teach Sunday School once a month and serve as Servant Leader of the Children's Choir. Writing this booklet is one of the items on my bucket list. I love to write, draw, and share the gospel in numerous ways. " Be A Strong Tree?" was a product of drawings and journal writing inspired by the events of 2020-2021 and several health challenges facing me, my family and so many others. "The idea for this book started as a sermon. The events of 2020 – 2021 lead to thoughts of remaining strong when bad news and bad times surround us. Being strong like a tree can take on many levels. Writing this book moved me through various levels...Strength, Weakness, Repurpose, and Renewal. ? ONE RESULT, IS THIS PROJECT. Hopefully, it will enlighten and inspire others."
