Badlands - A Journey Through the National Park

Photographers think about light. The direction of light, the quality of light and the color of light. Afterall, photography is about light - it is dependent upon light. Badlands - A Journey through the National Park is a collection of Black and White Infrared Photographs assembled into collections based upon the available light: Morning Light, Midday Light, Late Afternoon Light and Storm Light.

The author/photographer first visited Badlands National Park in 2010 and has returned several times since drawn to the eroded peaks and windswept vistas within its borders. Here he fell in love with the landscape of the American West. Photographed entirely in Badlands National Park in South Dakota this book offers spectacular views of a breathtaking landscape. George's early professional career began in editorial photography, where he still works today. He has been published in both national and international publications. Drawing inspiration from several landscape photographers along with a drive to visit our National Parks whenever possible, a significant body of work began to evolve focused on our wild spaces. These areas need our protection and his hope is that through through the medium of photography we all will be inspired to protect and preserve our natural resources.
