Amy Wood, is a special education teacher and author of Axelrod: My Journey Home children's book. She lives in Connecticut and Florida with her fiance, Frank, her children, Abby and Sarah, and their cat, Axelrod, and German Shepherd, Sydney. Her son, Jacob, attends college in Vermont. Axelrod is fearless, loving, and very affectionate. His favorite things to do are eat, sleep, and snuggle. Since adopting Axe in 2022, Amy has been inspired to share a heartwarming and funny narrative about a shelter cat and his adventures.
