About the author
Rebecca Jarrard has lived her life’s dream for over 35 years by being a Nurse. She has worked in many areas such as: Home Health, Oncology, Medical-Surgical, Geriatric, and Orthopedic. Most of her work has been in the Alzheimer’s and Dementia fields. In 2000, Rebecca became a licensed Administrator in New Jersey. She was the Director and Wellness Nurse for a 30-bed Alzheimer’s Unit. During this time Rebecca trained CNA’s, Medication Aides, and conducted the clinical training of Assisted Living Administrators. Her Unit was a chosen site for graduate students from the University of North Carolina to observe behavioral patterns of people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She worked with a national drug company to develop a brochure for family members on “Caring For The Patient With Alzheimer’s And Dementia.” Rebecca is an international motivational and inspirational speaker. In 2010, she was named “Nurse Manager Of The Year.” During 2010, she spoke on Alzheimer’s 45 times while working full time as a Nurse Manager. She also speaks to church groups, women's ministry conferences, civic groups, and senior citizen groups. Rebecca and her husband presently reside in North Carolina. They are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters and four marvelous grandchildren.
