Panda Blue is the first in a series of Animal, Vegetable, and Mineral (AVM) stories written for First Chapter readers covering ages 5 through 12, and was written to educate and stimulate parents to spend precious moments laughing and learning with their children!
About the author
John Gourhan has been creating AVM stories for his sons and their friends since they were toddlers. As they grew older, he taught them to participate more deeply in developing character, plot and scene. It is his hope that parents and guardians will use the formula for his AVM Stories to create their own tales while spending those valuable moments with their children. John is a retired banker who earned his MFA in fiction writing. He has been a guest lecturer on business at the Haas School of Business, University of California.
