Assessing Classroom Sociocultural Equity Scale

Assessing Classroom Sociocultural Equity Scale is a technical manual for the assessment tool of the same name, also known as ACSES. The ACSES is aimed to be used in pre-K to 5th grade settings.

This manual provides instructions about how to administer and interpret the three rating subscales of the Assessing Classroom Sociocultural Equity Scale (ACSES). The ultimate goal of ACSES is to increase and improve classroom quality through careful analysis of teaching behaviors, student-teacher relationships, and student engagement. It can be used in schools and early childhood programs that are racial, ethnically, or culturally diverse across pre-K to 5th grade.
