About the author
Rabbi Yisrael Motzen, a native of Montreal, Canada, serves as rabbi of Ner Tamid Greenspring Valley Synagogue in Baltimore, MD. He also serves as the Special Assistant to the EVPs of the Orthodox Union. He is a Ner Israel Rabbinical College graduate and holds an M.A. in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Yisrael writes regularly in various Jewish publications and is involved in several initiatives and projects focused on strengthening the Jewish community.
