About the author
Kimberly (Kim) Keenan, MS, MSW, LCSW received a Masters Degree in Social Work from The University of Illinois and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received a Masters Degree in Psychology from Portland State University/Akamai and is currently a PhD candidate in Applied Ecopsychology with Akamai University of Hawaii. In addition to spending many years in private practice, she has also been a national speaker on anxiety disorders in children, a freelance writer, artist and educator. She is currently an adjunct professor at The University of Illinois as well as a field instructor for graduate school of Social Work. As a clinical social worker with OSF Saint Francis Medical Center working with children and families, she is a co-investigator of several research studies within the OSF institution and co-directs her passion at The gitm (Gifts in the Moment) Foundation.
