This book explores the history of child abuse in America. It also gives the reader insight into what occurs in a child protection agency. It also offers a brief history of abuse and neglect among children and gives insight into the agency that is responsible for protecting children. This book was written to inspire someone to contact CPS when they suspect a child is being abused or neglected, incite rage in someone so that the person contacts the Commissioner of CPS to demand less policies and more proactive casework, or get any form of reaction that will make a person want to reach out and demand better protection for children.
