Overview
This is a story of choices which must be made. Fate plays some part in forcing us to make these choices, whether they be right or wrong. The fine line is drawn between love and hate, life and death. The choice and eventual consequence of the decision which can shape our future is ours. Who knows which path you will take at your eventual crossroads?
Description
Charlie made it a regular habit to read to her young daughter Polly a bedtime story. But when one night she read Samuel Taylor Coleridge's famous poem 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' she could not have foreseen the impact it would have on Polly. The outcome of her actions and her daughter's obsession with 'all things Albatross' would soon become clear. Join Charlie and Polly on their journey and experience an emotional rollercoaster you may never forget.
About the author
Carole Verity has enjoyed a varied and exciting career within music, publishing, travel, advertising, fashion and finance. She has always had a strong love of the arts, particularly of literature and performance. This is her first short story publication although she has written reviews and mini biographies in the past. She is married to blues and rock musician John Verity and has one daughter, Hannah. Her passion for animals and birds is evident in 'an Albatross on the Strand' and Carole will be making a contribution from the net sales of this story to the RSPB Save the Albatross appeal. Carole and John keep chickens and they currently have four very individual hens! She will be adding to her catalogue of short stories very shortly and will begin writing her first full length novel in 2012.
