Overview
Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Do you struggle with the roller coaster of diets and exercise? Have you found yourself discouraged with where you are in your physical health? If you can relate to any of these questions, then this book can offer you hope in Christ on your journey. In this book, Nate takes a practical and theological approach to the topic of physical health, through the lens of abiding in Christ. His heart for this book is: • To help you see what it means to have an intimate, abiding relationship with Jesus Christ. • That through this relationship you will gain understanding of what the Bible says on this topic. • To emphasize that much of the unhealthy living today is preventable. • To help you have faith in God so that you can find physical healing. • To help you identify unhealthy triggers that keep you from physical health. • To provide a framework for accountability to assist you in achieving your goals for your physical body. At the end of each chapter is an application-focused workbook section that will help you take what you are learning and incorporate it into your daily discipleship journey. Whether you have a chronic illness, have severe medical issues, are struggling in your physical health, or simply want to explore this topic through a biblical lens, this book is for you. Abiding in Physical Health will encourage you on your journey and help you find healing and abundant life. Abidingnetwork.com
Description
Many years ago, I found myself looking around and I saw people (including me) who were consistently struggling with chronic sickness. Many of these were good Christian people who asked God for healing and miracles in their physical bodies. I believe God to be a healer and miracle worker (which we will explore later in this book). I have seen this in my life and in the lives of others. However, He is also a God of wisdom and discipline. How could I ask Him to do something that I am unwilling to invest in myself? It's like I wanted God to wave a magic wand to heal things that were direct results of my bad diet choices and lack of discipline. That was a huge "come to Jesus" illumination moment for me, and things have drastically turned around since that time in my physical journey. Much of what I hear and saw in my own life and in others was an unwillingness to discipline the body and bring it into subjection. People unwilling to crucify the flesh with its natural passions and desires. People reluctant to honor the temple of the Holy Spirit, where God resides. These are all clear biblical prescriptions, but I had never seen it so clearly before. My experience has led me on a journey of abiding in physical health that I want to share with you. I want to invite you to abide in physical health for your own life. In my personal journey of health, I was amazed as I experienced God heal me of many physical issues through natural and supernatural means. I want to share with you my story and the path God led me down and give you hope to abide in physical health.
About the author
