With protagonists ranging from an excited seven year old girl to a prematurely geriatric misanthrope, these stories explore how character's choices mold their worldviews, which in turn frame their choices. Mildly cynical, the stories seek to understand the characters without invading their worlds or judging them.

Piers studied physics before becoming a consultant before becoming a writer. He has lived in England, the Netherlands and the US, and each place has left its mark, and reflects in his stories. This is his first collection.
