In this collection of short stories you will travel to picturesque places, sometimes along singe track roads with centuries old hedgerows defining your way. You'll drink in the forty shades of green that Ireland is famous for, while working up a thirst for a pint or two of the black stuff or maybe a shandy. Not only will you get great local color, you'll gather pertinent information about golfing in Ireland...from the trophy linksland courses to the magical hidden gems. If you love to travel, this book will inspire you to experience the rich Irish culture for yourself.
About the author
Taba Dale has been a fine art dealer for 33 years. She cultivated her early love for all things beautiful through her frequent visits to the many world-class museums in Washington D.C. where she grew up. She took her first trip to Europe when she was 18, visiting thirteen countries over six months, thus igniting a passion for travel. In the late 1980’s, Taba moved to Avenel, a golf course community in Bethesda, Maryland. While jogging on the cart paths in the morning with the dew and at dusk with the deer, she vowed to take up the game some day. But first she created her golf company, Scottsdale Collection, specializing in publishing and selling golf art. It wasn’t until twelve years later that she took a golf lesson, and after launching one ball off the sweet spot, she was hooked. Years passed before she could begin to actually play the game and live her dream after moving to Scottsdale, Arizona. Curiosity about the history, tradition, beauty and the mystery of golf has led Taba to read the great authors, and study the renowned historians and architects of the game. She is now considered a bona fide golf geek herself. Taba spends her summers in Ireland with her soulmate and life partner, Kevin McGrath, in their home near Lahinch in County Clare, where all three passions―art, golf, and travel―have now converged to become the inspiration for this book.
