About The Author

N. E. Kurz is an author devoted to supporting others through the lens of personal experience, faith, and compassionate insight. In 1982, her 15-year-old daughter, Karen, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident after being struck by a truck. The loss was devastating, leaving Norma overwhelmed with grief, disbelief, and deep emotional pain. But then, in 2025, her 60-year-old son, David, died after suffering a probable heart attack. Again, her heart was ravaged. As she reflects, life is not meant to unfold this way as parents are not meant to outlive their children. Through years of navigating the grief process, Norma gradually found strength, healing, and renewed purpose. Out of that journey she felt called to reach out to others facing similar loss. Her books served as a source of comfort, guidance, and encouragement for grieving families. But now her recent books, all published in 2025, are designed to help those suffering from any kind of trauma. Encouragement and healing words are provided through her revised and updated books to assist those wanting to recover from emotional and physical trauma. Importantly, help is also provided for those seeking answers to questions about life, God, and ultimate reality. Norma's 2025 books speak to those seeking answers in the times in which we live. First, in her fiction "Stand in the Gap Trilogy," in Book 1, A Parallel time & Place, American Watchwoman Saphah travels back in time to biblical Judah during the reign of King Josiah, and discovers events in those ancient times are eerily similar to current events in her own modern land. Soon she realizes that Judah is a parallel time and place to the U. S. and she can learn spiritual lessons about her current world through a journey there. Urgently, she must warn her people to return to God before it's too late. The remaining two books of the trilogy are forthcoming in 2028 & 2030. Second, in her nonfiction "Window of Opportunity Trilogy," in Book 1, A Personal Grief: Finding Faith Through Loss, Norma shares her personal story of the loss of her daughter Karen. Then in Part 2 of that book, guidance is provided to bereaved parents on their own journey of grief after the loss of a child. Then, in Book 2, A Reasonable Faith: Finding Faith Through Rational Evidence, she provides reasoned insights and answers to religious questions people may pose about God and ultimate reality. In Book 3, A Perilous Time: Keeping Faith During Periods of Adversity, Norma points out that a day may arrive when people have difficulty sharing spiritual truth. Thus, Christians must be prepared to stay spiritually strong and keep the faith in trying times. Norma Kurz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from American Christian College in Oklahoma City and lives in Southwest Missouri with her beloved dog, Harlequin.
