About the author
Don Hall was the owner of the Chatterbox Drive-In Restaurant in Sussex County, New Jersey and has worked in Foodservice for the past 45 years until retiring several years ago. He has absolutely no previous experience with writing books, but books are a huge part of his life.
Don's National Geographic collection dates back to the late 1800's and he also collects antiquarian books, especially those dealing with local history, the Civil War and Word War II. He has had a Library in one form or another for as long as he can remember. His interests include, (in no particular order), Oceanography, Boating, Wooden ship model building, matting and framing, science fiction, flying, cooking, cycling, the Ancestral Puebloans culture, book collecting, photography, The Frigate U.S.S. Constitution, and many other totally innocuous interests.
While northern New Jersey will always be "Home", Don now spends his time traveling the roads of this great country with Paula. They live solely in a forty-foot Winnebago "Diesel Pusher" coach motorhome and have covered all of the states so far, except Rhode Island. They have just completed a four-month World Cruise, which obviously was not taken in the motorhome!
Texas, and it's relatively mild winters, is their new center of operations.
Don was the quintessential "nerd "in school and although he admires anyone with a pocket protector, he did not, in fact, have one. He was on the yearbook committee as the photo editor and ran the schools 16 MM and film strip projectors. His tie was always tied right up tight to his neck with the top button always engaged and he sported an American flag pin on his lapel.
