About the author
Rev. Dr. Philip W. Chapman graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois in January, 1974. He attended the University of South Carolina from which he earned Masters of Criminal Justice graduating Cum Laude, a Distinguished Honor Graduate in 1988. The author attended The Chicago Theological Seminary and earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree. Reverend Chapman served as an Ordained as Minister of the United Church of Christ for over thirty years. Ordained in 1978, Rev. Chapman served his country as a US Army Chaplain and as a Chaplain for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Dr. Chapman currently serves as Chaplain for Illinois American Legion Post 439 (Lee Iten) in Highland, Il. and as Pastor for the Zion Evangelical Church in Central City, IL His messages are featured on the “Lamp unto my Feet” radio program which airs on WGEL 101.7 Greenville, IL Dr. Chapman recently celebrated his “Silver Wedding Anniversary” in 2010 with his wife Melissa Snyder Chapman. Married in 1984 they are blessed with two children. Phil enjoys reading, fishing, and golfing. Dr. Chapman hopes these messages encouraged you and inspire a closer walk with the Lord.
