About the author

Born in 1975, DeJuan Cuffee is married to Marsha Cuffee, and they are both the proud parents of Brooke Cuffee. DeJuan has been writing poetry for several decades, over that time span he found the time to get his B.S. in Business Administration from Old Dominion University, his MBA in Management from Western International University, spend four years in the Army, and currently he works for the federal government. DeJuan’s poetry is polished, and his attributes include his acute sense of rhythmic writing, an endless imagination, and a very reflective voice, along with ingenious wordplay. Described by readers of his work as an excellent storyteller, and praised for his use of evolutionary concepts, the words that fill his pages, sensing they are being read, realize though not everyone or everything can relate, there is someone or something out there that can relate to the journey he takes you on. Themes include anything from social issues such as racism, poverty, politics, to romance, love, sex, music, conspiracy theories, battle rhyming, Black culture, everyday life experiences, crime stories, and inspirational quotes. DeJuan’s extensive vocabulary is balanced by his pure joy for writing, making him a poet for the ages indeed. Aside from writing poetry, DeJuan enjoys spending time with his family, listening to his extensive music collection, watching television, going to the movies, and cheering on his San Francisco 49ers.
