Overview
Tradition abounds among the young gaining a grasp on daily routines. But, for some, weekday routine and the mornings especially are not met with immediate spark for fun. In this short tale, join the main characters, a young girl and her dog as they approach the days with brightness and silly enjoyment instead.
Description
Got new learners for the days of the week? Well, this tale may not be an exact fit for the lesson plan but will certainly keep audiences captivated. See how a young girl and pup liven up things by a broad spectrum of fun twists for their weekday mornings! Added is a talk and discussion portion to collaborate on even more ideas. This book is sure to engage school age children and those presenting it to them.
About the author
Teilo Baldwin earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Alcorn State University, an HBCU, and a Master of Science in Education through Walden University. She has been a classroom teacher for over 15 years. As such, her love for collecting children's books and reading aloud to captive audiences only grew over the years and provoked her interest in writing a book of her own. She has taught in many places throughout the United States as well as in the Middle East. This past year, while teaching in remote Bush Alaska, her first self-published book came to life with the help of an illustrator and formatter despite their distances. Love of her family, whimsical and silly adventure, and the desire for more African-American representation in children's literature keep her inspired to publish more titles in the near future.
