The Elephant and the Butterfly

There's something different about Babla. 

1. He's an elephant.

2. He can't stand.

With what may be seen as an unfortunate lack of strength begins a fable about the power we hold inside ourselves—and how a little encouragement can go a long way. 

Babla the elephant is left alone on the plain since he can’t stand on his own. He is approached by several jungle animals, each with a purpose or motive. Through these interactions he learns that—with a little hope and help—he can survive the Law of the Jungle after all. 

Any child—or any one—who has ever felt "different" will fall head over heels for Babla. 

A. Richards is a writer and illustrator who strongly believes in the power of art. His lifelong love for storytelling has touched the hearts of many—from children and grandchildren to brothers, sisters, and friends. 

He lives in Pennsylvania with his wife, Marie, and puppy, Lexi.
