Description
If you find yourself exhausted, flummoxed, giddy with joy, or just simply breathing, there is always a place to find inspiration. This place is the Bible, and it is ever-ready to fill you with passion, support, and life. "The Wind in My Sails" is a daily Biblical devotional of a life lived with God. Sue shows through her own experiences, the practical applications of what that means. Sometimes humorous, sometimes difficult but always reality; Sue's thirty-plus years of living with the King of Kings is ever a testimony of His faithfulness and mercy. Reading Scripture has brought candor, self-doubt, and wonder to the surface of Schaefer's life with God. He has met her every challenge with His usual aplomb, graciousness, and goodness. Take a few moments each day with this introspective and inspiring read. You won't come away empty!
About the author
Sue Schaefer has called Nebraska, Minnesota, and Vermont home. She came kicking and screaming to Jesus some forty-plus years ago. For the past thirty years, Schaefer has emailed a "thought" containing a Scripture out to a few hearty souls who have asked for it—five days per week, thought after thought. Putting them into book form has been a labor of love for her sister, who has so graciously continued to ask for it. Through it all, her love of God and His Son has never waned nor diminished. If there was a phrase to describe her heart's desire for this book and for all that she has put her hand to, it would be, "Not me but He." Her passions are God, her husband, her five sons and daughters-in-law, and her sixteen (and counting) grandchildren. She also loves writing, designing, and making knicky-knacky stuff, including Adirondack mirrors, ornaments, and whatever else comes to mind with the help of her stalwart companion and husband, Ulrich. Schaefer has previously published four books and edited one memoir, written by her father-in-law, about his life and his family's escape from East Germany.
