Overview
The book that put Shih Tzu Nation on the map! Twenty-two true tales about the infinitely varied, always revealing bonds forged between Lion Dogs and their humans. Penned by award-winning author Jonathan Agronsky and featuring such distinguished guest writers as Shih Tzu expert and author Jo Ann White and famed American playwright Larry L. King.
Description
Each of the twenty-two true stories in Shih Tzu Nation focuses on a human-dog relationship, an inter-species bond as quirky and unique as the individual on either end of the lead. Taken together, they will confirm your long-held suspicion that people reveal a great deal about themselves by how they relate to their pets--more, perhaps, than in any other kind of relationship--and vice versa.
About the author
Small dogs with ponytails, such as the Shih Tzu, used to freak out author Jonathan Agronsky. Today, he writes entire books about them, finding this a pleasant diversion from the more "serious" journalism, biography, scriptwriting, and teaching that mostly have kept a roof over his head since 1968 and even won him some awards. Like most writers, Jonathan discovered early in his career there are much easier, and far more reliable, ways to make a living than by arranging words and/or images into a certain, harmonious order. The problem is, those other paths rarely lead to adventure.
