About the author

Cheryl Hildbold was born and raised in Ithaca, New York. She graduated from Grove City College where she met and married her best friend and the love of her life. She was Chuck's partner in marriage and ministry for 41 years, serving a total of nine churches in Ohio and Western Pa. She loved to sing, travel and plan trips, have family dinners, ride bikes, teach Sunday School, read, and share her faith. Cheryl was a mother of four children and eight grandchildren. She was a stay-at-home mom with her children and helped to raise all four into godly men and women. With her beautiful singing voice, she and her family would lead Mother/Daughter Banquets and Christmas programs. Cheryl loved to sew as well as make crafts for craft shows. Family time was precious to her, whether it was in her home or a Pittsburgh Pirate baseball game or on a yearly vacation to the Outer Banks where she and Chuck had spent their honeymoon. Reading to her children and grandchildren was especially precious to her. She enjoyed word games and math puzzles and was captivated by the beauty and majesty of God's creation. Cheryl was strong in her Christian faith and through her five-year battle with cancer, she always looked for ways that God could use her. Her book, Ponderings From the Pastor's Partner, will make you laugh, cry and remind you of the life-giving truths of God's Word.
