Overview

Metamorphosis of Rhythm is a collection of 32 poems that are quick to read, easy to understand and hard to put down.

Description

Metamorphosis of Rhythm removes the complexity of poetic expression and speaks to the heart and experiences of readers everywhere.  An atypical lyrical journey, MOR is melody and magic with trauma, triumph, pleasure, and pain in its 32 poems.

This new poetry collection of wisdom loves, hurts and cuts to the human core to soothe, calm and heal, so new creations can transform and emerge a butterfly.

About the author

Poet. Teacher. Advocate; but not necessarily in that order.

Metamorphosis of Rhythm is Real Talk! I have perused, scanned and read Metamorphosis of Rhythm a few times recently. With my hectic lifestyle now a leisurely read is a privilege, an old past time that I don't make enough time for these days. What I enjoy so much about this book of poems is that I have been able to pick it up and read the same poems again with a new feeling. The vulnerability and rawness of the contents within the author's writing are so relatable. It's almost like peeking at a close friend's diary. The truth, the situations, the emotions of Latasha Danielle's metamorphosis are as real as real can get. She shares her inner thoughts about life from her eyes. The colorful use of descriptive words paints a clear image of what this strong woman has experienced and felt. I've felt very similar in my own walk which makes this piece of writing much more enjoyable to take in. Read more

Honest and Raw! Poetically Speaking-Poets write about issues, whether it be the Issue of Love gained or lost. The issue could be self-reflection. This is the journey, Metamorphosis of Rhythm takes us on beginning with the opening poem of Commercial Blemishes. I have read Metamorphosis twice and I find reading from beginning to end helps me understand each poem in accordance with what I understand about life's issues and myself, and how the author is writing about life's issues in poetic verse. Metamorphosis of Rhythm is truth and its raw! Its a Poetic Journey. Read more

Revealing and transparent! Wow! Talk about emotions all over the place! Being a woman is deep, then, being a Black woman, probably has no end to emotions. When you add life, female, black, damaged, awakened, enlightened, worldly, exuberant and spiritual and mix them all together....it produces metamorphosis! Thank you for your honesty, transparency, and prodding to keep seeking what’s on the other side! Loved the book!! Read more
