New Quixé (pronounced key-chay), the first civilized city on the continent of Dramador, is being overwhelmed by a political struggle. Unequal food rations and maldistribution of currency amongst working members of society are the main issues driving the citizens to revolt. Miles from New Quixé, hordes of individual tribes gather to discuss the lack of game for hunt and the famine in the land due to the new city. Decisions are made, harsh words are spoken. Carlos Budet is a Mechanical Engineering graduate whose areas of interest include Natural Philosophy, Ancient Greek Philosophy, Quantum Physics, Metaphysics, Epigenetics, Syncretism, Linguistics, Video Game Development, Video Games, and Music. Carlos Budet was born in Bronx, New York. At the age of eight, his family made the decision to raise him in Puerto Rico, where he received the majority of his Primary, Middle, and High School education at Academia Castillo Fuerte, a small private Baptist School that utilizes the School of Tomorrow educational system. After graduating High School, he began University studies at the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez in Civil Engineering, where he discovered that his passion was simply learning new things, and Mechanical Engineering was a much broader field. Having taken his electives in Linguistic studies, he was an English Tutor at UPR Mayaguez for 2 years, and he has always had a great interest in Language and Articulation. Psycholinguistics was a revolutionary course that he claims gave him his first 'epiphany' in life, changing how his mind processed and stored information. Since 2008, Carlos has been a self taught, freelance programmer, working in order to financially sustain his studies and business endeavors. In 2010 during his University studies, Carlos developed the idea for KIGAEA based on theories regarding the Mayan Calendar and 2012 Doomsday, which he was heavily studying. Having disagreed with the 'destruction' scenario, and accepting the 'awakening' scenario based on the very etymology of the word 'Apocalypse', he asked the question, "If the destruction scenario WERE to take place, how would it happen?", this resulting in the birth of the concept of KIGAEA, which was not written until five years later. Carlos switched University when he mother became ill, and continued his education in Mechanical Engineering in the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2012. During his final two years at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, Carlos heavily delved into extracurricular activities, including competing in the international Aero Design SAE event, participating as Treasurer and subsequently Vice President of the Student Council, and participating as the student representative of the Student Interdisciplinary Committee in his final semester. Upon graduating, Carlos made the controversial decision to pursue his own business ideas, rather than accept a career in Mechanical Engineering. This led to a number of years of financial hardship that caused him to question his goals, and begin to reevaluate life itself through a different perspective. After undergoing a "Philosophical Revolution" in 2016, he has delved back into forming the concept of KIGAEA based on modern scientific theories that have yet to be accepted by the Scientific Community. His endeavor is to depict Magic as a 'scientifically plausible phenomenon with its origins being established in the Magnetic Polar Shifts of a Field'.
