About the author
Vanessa Ann Vigilante, PhD, is a licensed psychologist who earned her bachelor's in psychology from Rutgers University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Vigilante completed her residency at the University of South Carolina Medical School and William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute. She then completed a fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Vigilante's research has been published in several peer-reviewed psychology journals.
