About the author

Purnell E' Johnson, Sr., JD was born and raised in the Nations Capitol where he attended public Schools and graduated from (Anacostia High in 1961. Purnell was drafted into service during the Vietnam War, but serve most of his time in Italy. Post military service he acquired a degree from the American University (D.C), then his Juris Doctorate in Law from the Potoma School of Law. Purnell has worked in many in many capacities during his lifetime. As a Mediator and contributed article to his home town Newspaper on various subjects. He began his Federal Government service as a Statistician at the Department of Commerce Census Bureau in Suitland ,Maryland. From there He accepted a position in Atlanta, Georgia as a Litigation Special on Defaulted Student Loans. In 1992 Mr. Johnson accepted a position with the Department of Education Office of Civil Rights where he had the responsibility of enforcing Civil Rights Laws as it pertained to Schools including institutions of higher learning. Mr. Johnson retired took an early out retirement in 1995 to pursue other interest. Since retirement he has worked for several Law Firms in are of Immigration and employment. Mr. Later worked at CBS-11 News as the Director of it's "Call For Action" Consumer program serving the Dallas/Fortworth area. Mr. Johnson also served as a contributor to " The Marti Griffin Show" on CBS-KRLD radio in Arlington, Texas. Mr. Johnson served on many Boards, both City and Non-profit. He served as a Vice President for "Call For Action" out of Bethesda, Maryland. Call For Action is a non-profit international organization that's aligned with the media TV and Radio handling consumer complaints. Mr. Johnson Held memberships in various professional organizations, such as the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, Society for Professional in Dispute Resolution and Certified Registry of Arbitrators.
