Heroes of Spirit

Rabbi David Hoffman began writing publicly over seventeen years ago, when he created a weekly newsletter entitled “Torah Tavlin” in memory of his grandfather. Beginning as a local newsletter in Monsey, NY, it has now blossomed into a worldwide distribution, with over 40,000 readers each week and feature writers from all over the world. Rabbi Hoffman went on to author six books under the title “Torah Tavlin” on various topics ranging from the weekly Torah portion and Jewish holidays. He then turned his attention to a historical book on the Holocaust entitled: “Heroes of Spirit, 100 Rabbinic Tales of the Holocaust.” This book has been overwhelmingly received, not only in religious circles, but all over the world, with approbations and remarks from numerous leading Jewish Holocaust historians and scholars. This book is now in its fifth printing and a second volume in the series, “Heroes of Faith” was released in the summer of 2013, to overwhelming reviews. Rabbi Hoffman lives in Monsey, NY, with his wife Esther, and their nine children and is an active member of the Monsey community, while he continues to write his weekly newsletter as well as in in numerous newspapers and magazine both on Holocaust-related topics, as well as editorial-style articles.
