Overview

Kaye Browning continues her passionate pursuit of miniatures with the second volume of Collectively Speaking, her personal account of collecting fine-scale miniatures over the past 40 years. Whether it's history, art, architecture, interior design or simply a fascination with small, everyone will be captivated by the tiny rooms, functional tools, toys, art objects, re-creations of rare furniture and scale replicas of some of the world's finest historical structures. No one brings them to life more than the woman who has devoted her life to educating the public about the age-old art form.

Description

Kaye Browning shares her stories of collecting 1/12-scale fine art miniatures over four decades. Her collection ultimately resulted in the KSB Miniatures Collection, a 3,300-square-foot museum gallery which today attracts visitors from around the world. Collectively Speaking will engage readers to look at fine scale miniatures in a whole new way through her richly personal narrative and the absorbing photography of Kim McKisson. Volume 2 is the second in a series.

About the author
Love of history and craftsmanship first drew Kaye Browning to miniatures and today, four decades later, she is one of the leading patrons in the quest to have fine-scale miniatures recognized as an art form. A member of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA) and the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts (NAME), she is regularly featured on television and in publications worldwide.
