About the author
DR Robert Jackson has an extinguished career in surgery.He has over 35 years of Cosmetic Surgery experience.Prior to becoming renowned in cosmetic surgery Dr Jackson had extensive experience in general and vascular surgery.Following a very rigorous Surgical Residency he served in the United States Army.He was involved as an Army surgeon at three Evacuation Hospitals in Vietnam. Some of those experiences led to the writing of this book. Dr Jackson received a Bronze Star for his leadership at those hospitals, his surgical treatment of soldiers,nationals,civilians and for his volunteer work with soldiers adducted to drugs. Dr Jacksons background in Cosmetic Surgery is extensive. He is Board Certified by the AMERICAN BOARD Of SURGERY and the AMERICAN BOARD OF COSMETIC SURGERY. He is a fellow of the AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SURGERY and a fellow of the AMERICAN ACADEMY OF COSMETIC SURGERY. Dr Jackson is past president of the AMERICAN BOARD OF COSMETIC SURGERY . He is past president of the AMERICAN ACADEMY OF COSMETIC SURGERY. He also served as treasurer for three years. Having served as trustee of the certifying board (the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery) and serving as an examiner Dr Jackson feels he is helping to shape the future of Cosmetic Surgery in the United States. Dr Jackson has published many scientific articles in national and international medical journals as well contributed to multiple medical textbooks. He is routinely invited to be a faculty member of Cosmetic Surgery Courses in both the Uni ted States and internationally including liposuction,breast surgery ,facial rejuvenation , including laser surgery,ultrasonic assisted liposuction, and most recently VASER High Definition Body Contouring. Dr Jackson served chairman of Ultrsonic Assisted Liposuction Task Force for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr Jackson has hosted many live surgery workshops and chaired many cadaver courses in Cosmetic Surgery. He currently offers a fellowship in general Cosmetic Surgery along with his colleague and former fellow Dr Chris Lowery. He has trained 17 fellows. During his career he has trained multiple Surgery Residents. medical students and mid level providers. Dr Jackson serves as one of the delegates to the American Medical Association Some of his awards include the Golden Scalpel Award the highest award given by the American Board Of Surgery. He also was honored to be the Webster Lecturer for The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr Jacksons life includes 30 years of surgical mission trips , with untold miracles, involvement with fox hunting, and his passion to take care of patients.has it all been joyous no but it has been exciting DR Jackson feels his career and accomplishments are culmination of providential guidance ,independence ,family support and hard work.
