Description
This is the first book in the series Adventures of Andy Ant by Hope Love. Andy Ant is a soldier ant who is very, very, strong. Andy finds out there are a lot of children in rural Georgia who do not have any food to eat. Andy Ant is startled to hear this news and knows he must do something but what can he do? Andy decides he must get some food for the children, so he calls on his friend Allen Ant to help him. Andy Ant also goes to see his friend Mr. Grocer who donates the food. Andy and Allen pack up the food in food sacks and put the sacks on their backs. They must get the food to the children, but it will be an adventure for them to get there! Will Andy and Allen be able to push through the big winds blowing? Will the hot sun be too much and stop them in their tracks? Will they get through the heavy rain without getting wet? Will they get through the raging waters, or will the raging waters stop them? Andy Ant and Allen Ant can push through the challenges and get the food to the children. The children are so happy to see Andy and Allen Ant. Andy and Allen Ant pass out the food, the children bless the food, and they tell Andy and Allen how thankful they are for the food. Andy Ant and Allen Ant smile and do a fist bump because they know they made a difference. At the end of the book each child can sign their name to the pledge to do what they can to help feed those who need it.
