Over the years, I have had the opportunity to run many types of projects,
from small projects with one or two people that last less than a week, to
projects consisting of over 40 people working different disciplines and in
multiple locations for six months or more.
This wide variety of experience has given me many learning opportunities
and a great deal of success.
I never gave much thought to what made me successful as a project manager
until I was given the opportunity to mentor, manage, and work more closely with
other project managers. What I
discovered was that it didn’t matter if these project managers had less than a
year of experience or 20 plus years of experience, they all seemed to struggle
with the same aspects of project management.
In addition to technical struggles, I noticed that their focus was so
driven by data that it had a tendency to blind them from what I inherently knew
to be true: people and relationships drive business!
After taking a step back and analyzing what it is that makes me
successful, I realized that the process is not that complicated…7 Steps is all
it takes to elevate your project management skills to the next level. This book outlines those 7 Steps and shows
you that all you have to do is remember: Immense Success Comes From Creating Positive Relationships.
