Kent is a second-generation ordained clergy in the United Methodist Church. He has been in pastoral ministry for over thirty years, serving eleven churches in eight appointments. His vocational passions are grounded in a progressive theology of the Christian faith, preaching, writing, social justice, diversity, equality, equity, and inclusion. His hobbies include reading, fishing, wood working, naps, and hanging out with his partner and the love of his life, and visiting their kids, and spoiling their three granddaughters. This book and its contents are the product of his reflective nature and belief in a connection with all things and all persons as we strive toward that Beloved Community of All!
