J.L. Pedersen is a New Hampshire native. From poetry, to prose, to fiction, she travels with her writing into the realm of what she calls "the hidden heart", which can be found in all creatures and creations. Growing up in a small, rural town, she learned early how to listen carefully to the world around her, finding her appreciation for nature, imagination, and creativity at an early age. Being a New Englander taught her pragmatism, as well as fierce nostalgia, which informs her writing style and guides her artistic expression as an author. From the sacred to the profane she takes her tales, as life has taken her. "The journey is always worth taking; the words we speak and the stories we tell become the totems of our myth."
