Born abroad, Gibson Monk's earliest memories range from the tropics of Taiwan to the deserts of Libya. Before becoming a teacher, his early career included hotels, hospitals, seizure wards and newspapers. Gibson Monk's fiction has appeared in Sixfold, Zahir, Helios, and others. He is an associate member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and lives with his wife and three children in Virginia, where he teaches the humanities.
