Claudette Mayfield, Children’s Book Author and Illustrator was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and wrote her first creative work around the age of nine for a puppet show at her Elementary School. She later wrote for her Jr. High School’s speech program winning second place and appeared on Let’s Rap talk show for her work. As an artist Claudette could be found in her early age drawing cartoons from TV Guide her mother frequently brought home.
Claudette is a wife, mother, and grandmother with career path’s in banking, children and family programs, as well as mortuary services. As an author and illustrator “Granny’s Eat Good Garden” is Claudette's first published work with aspirations of more to come.
