Alison Freebairn-Smith
started writing stories and songs at an early age and, as a child, would often
use a book she had read as a template. Therefore, it's no surprise that her
first published book would be a parody of a Dr. Seuss classic. She also had the
honor of being part of an elite group of children who sang on many commercials,
records and TV and film soundtracks, including providing background vocals on
Neil Diamond's "Song Sung Blue" as well as performing seven nights
with The Carpenters at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles. Now a writer,
producer, documentary filmmaker, web creator, she is currently writing,
recording and performing her original songs in various Los Angeles-area venues.
She has one daughter, also a gifted writer/performer, and lives atop a mountain
in Topanga, California.
