Once upon a time, there was a shy child who went to a party, and by mere accident, created a “friend.” Now, this was no matter of magic nor the act of creating a Golem. No, simply put, this shy child was in a panic, and he had no magic beans. You see, the child feared social situations. However, in time, the shy child and his “unexpected friend” would become familiar enough to forge a partnership where the newly named “Caesar the Fool” took the job title of alter-ego and artistic filter, guarding his shy friend from further social harm. It was a truly auspicious moment for the two friends.
Now, at least at this moment of entry, Roy Edward Power lives in a small house in a tiny village somewhere in the brambles of western Wisconsin with his wife, two dogs, and a cat. Roy still sees his friend, Caesar, quite often. In fact, you can find Roy and Caesar in the studio writing, painting, recording audio performances, and drawing. And, when Roy is not driving a school bus for the local school district (which he actually does), Roy Edward Power spends his time traveling to and exploring many worlds from the comforts of his luxurious, and often crowded, couch. It’s all in an effort to avoid any resemblance of an ordinary, adult existence.
To see some of his visual work, find me on Facebook. Just look for a clown doodle or an unusual green “R” for a profile picture. To see more of Roy’s writing, go to royedwardpower.blogspot.com. It is my blog. I consider it my laboratory. I am constantly editing. And if your wanting to listen to a silly little audio bit, check out “Adventure Rescue Radio” on Soundcloud. Thanks.
