“I grew up with the same misconceptions about skunks as many others,” says Whitford. “But after working closely with them, my wife Cammie and I discovered how loving and misunderstood these animals truly are. That’s when I knew I had to start writing books to share the truth and teach kids to appreciate the beauty of wildlife.”

Rob Whitford grew up on a working farm in Northwest Ohio and later served in the U.S. military working on helicopters. He and his wife now live in Texas, where they’ve helped raise and release countless orphaned skunks, raccoons, squirrels, and more. Through his books, Rob aims to share his love of animals and aviation with the next generation.
