Lisa J. Scott is an independent author, publisher, systems thinker, and founder of Lisa J. Scott Publishing. Her work explores the hidden systems that shape human life—from money, work, and institutions to identity, creativity, aging, relationships, and personal sovereignty.

Rather than writing within a single genre, Scott develops interconnected books that examine different dimensions of the same underlying question: what patterns operate beneath the visible surface of human experience? Her books span business, memoir, philosophy, cultural observation, literary nonfiction, and fiction, forming a growing library organized around recurring themes of clarity, authorship, meaning, and transformation.

Professionally, Scott is the founder of In2edge, an M&A transition execution firm specializing in complex carve-outs, acquisitions, divestitures, and large-scale contract transitions. Her career in law, strategy, and systems design continues to inform her writing.

Scott studied Anthropology and Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan and earned her law degree from California Western School of Law. She has studied at Beijing University and Oxford University and has lived and traveled extensively throughout Asia and Europe.
