Jay Bingham is a retired engineer who decided to become a writer. "I've always been a writer at heart," he insists. "It's like engineering, only with words and letters instead of with wires and resistors."
Jay's greatest gift when it comes to writing is an imagination that often sees life's humorous side. He has a habit of seeing things and then wondering what's going on behind the curtain, what the real story is underneath, and what the every-day, mundane logistics behind a great fantasy might be. "When someone you admire appears to be deep in thought," he says, "They're probably thinking about lunch."
A proud graduate of the University of Utah where he graduated Cum Laude, Jay was born and raised in Utah. He now lives happily in Maryland with his wife, a BYU graduate, and their dog Chrysanthemum, who may or may not have graduated from obedience school. "Trees," he says of his beloved home just one traffic jam away from the nation's capital. "'Nuff said."
