David Metzger is a Commonwealth of Virginia author of young reader books. These historical fiction books feature ten-year olds who engage in adventures. These young men and women are brave, adventurous, polite, respectful of their elders, and quick-witted. In writing these books that not only entertain but teach history, Mr. Metzger engaged in extensive historical research, had the books elegantly illustrated, and relied on bed-time stories he told his son Jonathan as a youth. Mr. Metzger's career included practicing law, lecturing, writing articles, and teaching. He is currently retired from practice but continues to write and lecture.
