"Your Hair is Your Crown" is a light-hearted educational children's book affirming helpful messages about the ethnic hair journey from birth to old age. This book provides positive ethnic images for children of color that assert good hair care in a fun, informative way.
The appearance of a child's hair affects their self-image, self-esteem, and identity. This light-hearted, educational, beautifully illustrated book is a page by page reflection of the ages and stages of hair throughout a kids life and into adulthood. In black culture, hair unfolds who you are to the world, and it is a form of self-expression. "Your Hair is Your Crown" implants a positive message into the minds of children about their hair and its importance from birth to old age.
