About The Author

Author Nia Simms hails from a small town South of Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up, peers were mean and teased girls that were dark skinned; their families may have treated them differently or made jokes as well. Hence, the birth of Why Not Me. An adamant sport's fanatic, Nia's Sundays are filled by watching Cleveland Browns at the stadium or with friends on a big screen. When she is not writing, the Youngstown native loves her quiet down time, being with friends, watching movies on a streaming network or binging on any Dick Wolf series.
