Yet, somehow, even though I've made much progress in healing, I've still struggled with generating my own feelings of worthiness and self-love.
Just as you do not have to tell, show or teach someone how to "ooohhh" and "ahhhh" or make playful, goofy faces at an innocent baby or child, reading this book has naturally generated joyful and healthy self-love within. It's amazing. With it's natural rhythm and pentameter, thoughtful/imaginative/playful words made simple and inclusive illustrations that encourage us to see the beauty in ourselves and others of all backgrounds, it's a book that brings this wonderful feeling into my heart each and every time I read it.

The minute I skimmed the book, I knew I had to have it for my granddaughter. Then, when I actually read it, I knew I had to have it for myself. Pappy and Julia will enjoy sharing this epistle over and over when we share a common time and space as she grows up. Uplifting Book for All Ages!
So I can tell you (based on my own personal knowledge and correspondence with the Mr. Dwight E. Kobar) that the author of this book had the sweetest vision for this project. He simply wanted kids and adults to feel good about themselves. And that's it! FUN FACT: there are Easter eggs on every page that hint at something appearing on the following page.
