Where's Jill is a book about Jill Vitro, a vibrant lady struck down by complications of dementia. She worked for the Miami Dade State Attorney's office as a victim-witness counsellor. She was a Guardian-Ad-Litem protecting the rights of children, teenagers and adults in state court against their perpetrators. She lived with her fiance' husband for twenty-five years, always had two or three dogs rescued from the Humane Society and she was a Teddy Bear collector. The insidious disease that took her life started slowly and progressed into a complications of dementia that turned this vibrant lady into a shell of a person. Eventually, she had to leave her beautiful home to live in a memory care facility where she tried to escape many times and called friends to come and pick her up whenever a nurse or aide gave her a phone. It shines light on how the medical staff reacted to Jill and the love and respect they had for her, her family and her dogs. Marsha Jane Brody has lived a life filled with both professional success and heartfelt service. She spent twenty years on the road in Florida, bringing beauty into homes as a sales representative for high-end wallcoverings and earlier as a Human Resource Director. Her greatest joy has come from giving back-volunteering with the Humane Society, visiting hospitals and hospice units with her therapy dog, Murphy and helping children discover the magic of reading through the "Wags and Tails" program, An ordained minister, chaplain and Reiki Master, Marsha blends compassion, faith, and healing in everything she does.
