About the author
Niki Burton is a Mother of 4 children - with a passion for helping to heal hearts - little by little. Born in New Zealand in 1976 and raised in The Bay of Islands, she moved to Australia in 1992. With four children Niki made parenthood her main vocation while working as a tutor, teacher, childcare director and massage therapist before becoming an author. She graduated from Newcastle University with Bachelors Degrees in Teaching and Social science in the field of Early Childhood and also 1st year Bachelor of Visual Arts. Niki's dream of publishing ‘healing’ children’s books was conceived in 2005, but was not realised until 2012. Her books are written from a child’s perspective and captivate audiences of varied ages. 'pure heart kids books' © was created with the vision of helping families cope with some of life’s most traumatic experiences.
